Hey fam, have y’all ever played Yardzee? If not, you’re missing out on one of the most fun games around! And I’ve got the scoop on everything you need to know, from Yahtzee score sheets to Yahtzee rules.
First things first: What is Yardzee?
Think Yahtzee, but bigger and better. Instead of rolling dice, players roll large wooden dice that are about the size of a block. The goal of Yardzee is to score points by rolling specific combinations on the dice, just like in Yahtzee.
What do you need to play Yardzee?
The good news is that you don’t need much to get started with Yardzee. Here’s what you’ll need:
- A set of Yardzee dice
- A scorecard
- Six players (or fewer, if you want to play solo)
You can buy Yardzee dice online or make your own using wooden blocks and a marker. As for the scorecard, I’ve got you covered! Check out these Yahtzee score sheets to keep track of your points.
How do you play Yardzee?
Here are the basic rules of Yardzee:
- At the beginning of each turn, the player rolls the dice.
- The player can re-roll any number of dice up to two times.
- Once the player has decided to keep a roll, they mark their scorecard with the corresponding points.
- The game ends when all players have completed the same number of turns (usually 13).
- The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins!
But wait, there’s more! Yardzee also has bonus points for certain combinations, just like in Yahtzee. For example, if you roll five of the same number, you’ll get a bonus of 50 points. And if you roll a “Yardzee” (i.e. five sixes), you’ll get a whopping 100 points!
Why do we love Yardzee?
There are so many reasons why Yardzee is a great game for friends and family to play together. For one, it’s easy to learn and quick to play. Plus, it’s a game that everyone can participate in, no matter their age or skill level.
But perhaps the biggest reason we love Yardzee is because it gets people outside and enjoying the fresh air. You can play Yardzee in your backyard, at a park, or even at the beach! It’s the perfect game for a summer BBQ or a lazy Sunday afternoon.
