Seed paper is special paper that is embedded with seeds, so when the recipient of your card plants it, flowers or herbs will grow. How cool is that? Once you have your paper printed out, it’s time to fold it into a card. We suggest starting with a “mountain fold” which is simply folding the paper in half so that the two short edges meet. Then, you can make a “valley fold” by folding one of the short edges up to meet the center crease. Finally, fold the remaining short edge up to meet the center crease. This will give you a card that is 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches when folded. Now it’s time to add your own personal touch to the card. You can write a message or include a photo, or you can simply leave it blank. Either way, the recipient of your card will love knowing that they can plant it and watch flowers or herbs grow. When it comes to planting the card, there are a few things to keep in mind. The best time to plant seed paper is in the spring or summer, when the weather is warm and sunny. You’ll want to plant your card in a spot that gets plenty of sunlight and water it regularly until the seeds start to sprout. Once the flowers or herbs have grown, you can enjoy them all season long!
