St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with some fun leprechaun crafts with the kids! This easy leprechaun craft is perfect for young children and comes with a free printable to make the process even easier.

Materials:

  • Printable leprechaun template
  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers or crayons
  • Pom-poms (optional)

Easy Leprechaun Craft for KidsInstructions:

  1. Print out the leprechaun template.
  2. Cut out the pieces of the leprechaun. You will need the hat, the face, the beard, the nose, and the two green ovals for the ears.
  3. Trace the hat onto a piece of green construction paper and cut it out. You can also use orange construction paper for the hat if you prefer.
  4. Trace the face onto a piece of peach or tan construction paper and cut it out.
  5. Trace the beard onto a piece of white construction paper and cut it out.
  6. Trace the nose onto a piece of orange construction paper and cut it out.
  7. Glue the hat onto the top of the face. You will want to overlap the hat slightly with the face so that it looks like it is sitting on top of the leprechaun’s head.
  8. Glue the beard onto the bottom of the face.
  9. Glue the nose onto the middle of the face, just above the beard.
  10. Glue the two green ovals onto the sides of the face for the ears.
  11. Use markers or crayons to add eyes, eyelashes, and a mouth to the face.
  12. If you want to add some extra flair, you can glue some pom-poms onto the hat for a fun touch of texture.

And there you have it! A cute and easy leprechaun craft that the kids will love. You can also use this as an opportunity to teach them about St. Patrick’s Day and the significance of leprechauns in Irish folklore. Happy crafting!
